Teacher Aide

Nga mihi nui kia koutou katoa (Warm greetings to you all)... My husband Bruce & I have lived in Waituna West for 30 years and our involvement with the school has spanned 21 of those. We have 3 adult children 38, 26, 21 and 4 granddaughters 7 - 19.

In 2007, when our youngest started school, I volunteered 3 mornings per week as a parent help in the junior class, eventually taking on my much loved role as Teacher Aide. It has been such a pleasure serving the children of our wonderful rural school these part 16 years. I enjoy supporting an awesome team of teachers who work tirelessly to provide our students with the bet possible education they can receive. I admire their commitment and dedication. I am very privileged to play my part, working more specifically across all classes with those who need that little bit of extra help in their educational journey. It's very rewarding to see them go from struggling to blossoming and to celebrate their successes with them! If asked what my dream job might be... I'm doing it! Waituna west... you're simply the BEST!

My greatest loves: GOD & FAMILY and I enjoy singing & dancing to loud music and believe it or not... mowing lawns! YUP... sipping around on our ride-on is very therapeutic, earbuds in and singing at the top of my lungs with not a care in the world :o) My favourite saying is "I smile because I'm your mother, I laugh because there's nothing you can do about it!" I'm just a little crazy!
