Year 8 Science Day at FHS
Date: 15th November 2023
This day provides an opportunity for students to walk in a ‘high-schoolers’ shoes for a day. Students will:
- 1. work in a science lab.
- 2. walk to new classrooms for a change in subject.
- 3. work with the resources available in Ag/Hort
- 4. visit two working school farms (sheep and beef / dairy)
Structure of the day:
9 am – Arrive and welcome and split into two groups
9.05 am – Workshop 1: Science OR Agriculture/horticulture
10.05 am – Workshop 2: Swap into second workshop experience
11.05 am – Sausage sizzle
11.30 am – Bus from FAHS to farm for tour and games
12.30 pm – Return to FAHS to return Home
