Kia Ora, it is a privilege for me to teach the outstanding children in years 6 to 8.
Waituna West School is a special place for my family. My husband Tim and his father attended our school. We have 3 children and enjoy all that living a rural life offers.

Originally from Sydney, the first two year of my career were spent teaching in London mostly in a small school in Leytonstone. Returning to Sydney I worked for 11 years teaching and leading at a very large school before moving to NZ. I joined the team here at Waituna West School in 2020. Over the years it has been a joy to mentor many early career teachers and deliver professional learning to teachers across a range of subjects with a focus on literacy and numeracy. I also enjoy teaching coding and music. The delight on our students' faces when they are successful is the best.

I love spending time with my family and friends. we enjoy climbing the hills around here and going on long walks. The scenery here is stunning and I will never get tired of the view from the top of my favourite hill. I also enjoy gardening, getting my hands dirty and growing food. I am grateful to live and work in our caring and supportive community, the students, staff and parents make Waituna West the best place to be.
